AFA ENGINE (Course length - 5 Days)
Objective: After successful completion of this course, the Technician will be able to:
- Better understand the nature and causes of iron failures
- Use available literature to assist in the detection of failures
- Distinguish between the result and the cause of a particular failure
- Confidently make critical decisions concerning failures
- Organize and prepare a formal failure analysis report
Who should attend: This course is intended for Technicians or any person who will be inspecting failed iron and must make a decision on the "root cause" and part responsible for a failure.
Description: During this course the topics covered will be engine related and will include:
Common Core
- Proper failure analysis management
- Study of metallurgy
- Principles of wear
- Principles of fractures
- Visual examination
Engine Specific Most common failed components will be covered.
Course Duration: 5 Days.
